Green Pennant Awards
The Green Pennant Award is a national award that recognises high quality green spaces in England and Wales that are managed by voluntary and community groups. The Award is part of the Green Flag Award scheme, the national standard for quality parks and green spaces.
Entries for the Green Pennant Award are now open to parks and green spaces located in England and Wales. There are also pilot schemes in Scotland, Northern Ireland.
All community green spaces are eligible to enter, as long as they are freely accessible to all and unlocked as much as possible although we understand this may not be every day.A partnership of organisations runs the awards, including the Department for Communities and Local Government, BTCV, GreenSpace and Keep Britain Tidy. Each site is judged on its own merits and suitability to the community it serves. Awards are given on an annual basis and winners must apply each year to renew their Green Pennant status.
For more details about the awards and how to enter, visit the Green Pennant website.
