*This event is aimed at those already involved, or interested in becoming involved in community growing in Powys.
Hello Powys Growers,
We are pleased to announce our first network Gathering under our Tyfu Powys project. You can read more about Tyfu Powys here
When it comes to community gardening, we know that being able to share knowledge, skills and experience is one of the best ways to make your project a success. We are excited to offer you the opportunity to meet other Powys based growers in person.
Guest Speaker
We are also lucky enough to have guest speaker, Sophie Bolton from Cardiff Salad Garden. Sophie will be giving a talk and sharing her wealth of experience when it comes to running community gardens and projects, and will focus on volunteer retention and engagement - which is her area of expertise. She has recently taken on a second growing space that was struggling with volunteer retention, she has had great success within the first six months, increasing the number of volunteers and experience on site dramatically. So, come along and pick Sophie's expert brain, ask all the questions and pinch all her ideas and wisdom to use at your own gardens!
Practical Activity
Friends of Clyro will be running a practical workshop showing you how to make natural Christmas garlands. This is something we hope you will be able to replicate at your own sites!
