We’re inviting Camau Gwyrdd Champions to join us for a day to meet with other community growing groups who are looking to build resilient communities in the face of climate change and other crises faced by us all, but causing increased risk to the most vulnerable in our society.
Talk about “Climate Change” has become polarised. We need to be collaborative in our response to the crisis, whilst recognising that different people are facing different priorities in our daily lives that affect our response to this particular crisis. At Down to Zero, the team are using “incidental climate conversation” techniques to help their local community have an awareness of the nature around us and how we can take steps to reduce our environmental footprint in our everyday lives by working with nature and with each other.
The session will include a tour of the site at Down to Zero followed by workshops to explore how we can incorporate some of the ideas when we are trying to engage a broader audience in our own community.
Following a lunch made with local produce, we will explore some “feedback” techniques that we can use in Camau Gwyrdd events that help us all to focus on making realistic and meaningful changes in our everyday behaviours.
