Founded in 2005 by local mothers from many cultures, ages and backgrounds, we’re rooted locally, supporting community development and leadership in Tottenham. ‘Bringing Nature Closer to Communities and Communities Closer Together’ we’re thinking globally and acting locally, capacity building and creating a more inclusive, just and greener neighbourhood. We’ve won 6 Community Green Flags, are active in Keep Britain Tidy and with Friends of Parks, we work with schools and on housing estates, creating local resident-led environmental projects for the past 15 years.

We work locally and nationally with strategic partners. Based in our safe and welcoming Community Hub, Café, gardens, community allotment and apiary, we deliver free frontline community-led projects, services and events: on health and wellbeing, gardening and food growing, herbal medicine, beekeeping and biodiversity.

Many of our projects are designed and delivered, through our holistic approach, to respond to residents needs and aspirations including digital inclusion & upcycling of devices, ESOL, income maximisation on food and fuel poverty, holiday schemes, art and eco therapy, multi-sports, cycle training, repairs, walk and running groups to encouraging behaviour change and more sustainable journeys. Craft sessions, such as sewing also recycle and upcycle clothes and fabrics.

Our priority is supporting those with less opportunities with a strong focus on our Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic communities, and refugees, We work holistically to bring people together to reduce social isolation and share stories and skills, but always building on existing skills. Raising awareness on upcycling, reducing waste, reusing and reducing the carbon footprint.

Through these activities we provide volunteering opportunities, pathways to green training, qualifications and employment, incubating ideas and enterprise, building confidence, social and environmental justice, and stronger, visible communities, and being active as custodians of greener future for all species.
