Records of the garden go back over 250 years. It is sheltered by high walls on a south facing slope with deep top soil. Neglected for many years prior to community ownership a grant from the Climate Challenge Fund in 2017 has enabled us to grow produce to sell through the community shop and to local businesses.

Directions: The Isle of Raasay is reached by a 20 minute ferry crossing from Sconser on the Isle of Skye. From the ferry terminal on Raasay you can see Raasay House directly in front of you. The Walled Garden is situated behind the house and is accessible from the road opposite St Moluags Chapel. There is very limited parking near the garden so, as it is only a 5/10 minute walk from the ferry, we would ask that that you arrive on foot (or bicycle) if possible.
