We will be running daily gardening sessions at least 3 times a week with additional workshops at the centre given by guest speakers. The main objective is to turn the garden into a real oasis for people in the Oxgangs area of Edinburgh, we have started enquiries into starting a refugee community group which would include growing vegetables and providing a safe meeting space. We intend to start planting heritage fruit trees around the side of our building and turning it into an orchard for the use of the centre café and community.
We would love to have volunteers and visitors from, schools, local action groups and individuals to get them involved and there will be classes on growing in an urban environment and using available space to help support a healthy lifestyle. This is a centre for everyone to enjoy and use!
