Run by the community, for the community, Jura Development Trust is a company limited by guarantee with charitable status. 20 years old, and with a range of projects under its belt, JDT looks after a number of community assets (such as a passenger ferry link to the mainland, moorings and pontoons and a bistro) and is working to develop sustainable community initiatives for now and the future.
Having recently completed a 5 year Community Action Plan, we have identified a need for community composting and better recycling facilities on the Island. We are keen to go down this route, with a wider view to looking at community gardening.
