Edfords Care farm was established in May 2014, working with vulnerable adults and children with special educational needs the care farm is situated on an 84 acre site which we moved to in October 2019

We keep pedigree and rare breed livestock including Large Black pigs, Gloucestershire Old Spot Pigs, Jacob Sheep and Gotland Sheep, We also have various poultry.

On the farm we teach people traditional farming methods to look after the livestock and the gardens, our co-workers can be as involved as they are comfortable with from watching to being fully involved in handling the animals. We also manage vegetable gardens and a polytunnel in order to grow as much of our own produce as possible. Our Education Centre is our social hub where we all come together for breaks and lunch as well as a place to take part in various crafts available throughout the year.

In 2019 we developed a farm school for children aged 5-11, this is primarily for children with additional needs and opens twice per week. We are also developing a work skills group for 12-15 year olds.

Once established on our new site we will have opportunities available for people aged from 5 to 75 and beyond.

We also work with school groups and other charitable organisations, we welcome enquiries from groups and individuals.
