Development of a school farm initially through our Autism Provision, but to be extended across the whole school. We already have chickens and rabbits but hope soon to extend this to include goats and other larger farm animals. The project started with planting of vegetables which are then gifted to local foodbanks. Eggs are used to make scones for staff who donate money to support our project. We are keen to add goats soon and to grow the farm so that it provides a stimulating curriculum for young people around horticulture and animal husbandry. Following this we will develop enterprise groups to raise funds for sustainability of the project. This will be a haven for young people to support their mental health. We hope to link with our community through volunteering activities which support the farm long term
