Small Furries Therapy & Boarding is run by Clare with some help from the Gardiner’s (adults, children & animals!)
Clare is an occupational therapist who has worked with children with learning difficulties, physical difficulties and mental health difficulties for over 15 years. Clare also works with children in the care system. Clare is an avid animal lover and gardener who believes that animals and nature are a wonderful therapeutic medium. Clare’s love of animals extends to the family’s two dogs, 14 rabbits, 20 chickens, 8 ducks, doves and racing pigeons! Clare also has lived experience of parenting a child with neurodevelopmental and emotional difficulties.
Clare provides occupational therapy assessment and intervention primarily to children, and can also offer therapeutic education sessions on a range of topics, such as the environment, animal care and horticulture. Parent sessions for “The Just Right State” (E.Bhreathnach) can be organised at the request of exisiting support groups or services.
