We run several community food growing projects across Merseyside. Our main site (Roots in the City) is at St Michael's in the City, Liverpool city centre. We have built a community garden there on an unused and overgrown piece of land that now supplies food for a local food bank for asylum seekers and refugees. We offer drop in sessions and level 1 horticulture training for free to the local community, as well as providing lunch using fresh produce. Our garden is open every Thursday from 10-4pm. (Currently closed to new volunteers due to COVID-19)
Facilities: Cafe, Community space for hire, Picnic area, Community recycling/composting, Holiday activities, Wildlife area
