St Ives Community Orchard and Wildlife Reserve is a tranquil space planted for the benefit of wildlife & the community. The Orchard has 100's of fruit trees and bushes with many unusual varieties, a living willow dome, a veg garden, pizza oven with social space and an apiary with unusual bee-hives.
It's a wildlife haven encouraging biodiversity, full of wildflowers, wild grasses & woodland trees and has pathways leading to a wildlife reserve on the hillside above where we have planted over a 1000 trees with views of the ocean and the moors. We run regular events throughout the year as well as a Foodshare scheme where we collect waste food from supermarkets and restaurants and redistribute the food.
Facilities: Volunteering, Picnic area, Community recycling/composting, Wildlife area
