The Plants for People project is a joint initiative between Mayfield Nurseries and Southampton City Council, which combines community development work with gardening to make a lasting difference to people living on social housing estates in Southampton. We manage 7 community gardens on housing estates in Southampton alongside Mayfields Nursery Horticultural Training Centre.

Opening hours: Our Community Garden sites are open access and are run and managed by the community. Mayfield Nurseries is a community enterprise which is open Wednesday - Sunday to the public for trading. In addition we also offer a selection of wellbeing programmes from the Nurseries which are promoted via our website.
