Hetton New Dawn provides activities for the over fifties in the Hetton-le-Hole area in the form of a Lunch Club, Bingo Club and Social Evenings. Other activities include a Craft Club and Food Bank. During the Covid-19 outbreak it has provided a Friday Take Away and The charity provides these service for people from all walks of life, age and abilities. Hetton New Dawn has created a community allotment for use by local residents and is now in the process of creating a Sensory Garden for the use of local residents, care homes and groups with physical and sensory challenges in a therapeutic way through the activities of growing, learning and socialising.
