Handsworth Association of Schools enhances the life chances of our children and young people by bringing together communities in Handsworth. We bring communities together by working with the school association members and community partners to improve the lives of families in Handsworth and across Birmingham. We focus on enhancing the life chances of children in our city, on family health and wellbeing and on social integration.
EDUCATIONAL ADVANCEMENT; We work with schools, families and young people to share learning, resources and expertise for educational improvement. We do this through our learning networks, learning resources and curriculum enhancement initiatives that all Association members have access to.
YOUTH SOCIAL ACTION; Our popular Young People’s Parliament is the focus of our youth social action. and, through our Curriculum Enhancement programme we weave social and environmental awareness into much of our offer.
COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT; We have always sought to bring together local schools, businesses, charities and families in everything we do. 2020/21 has proved the importance of this. In setting up the Food Hub to help local families, we have seen these partnerships blossom for community benefit
