No Walls Gardens is a not for profit CIC based in Northfleet North. We specialise in providing
our clients with greater connection to the community, work experience and skills training by
carrying out community gardening, greening and food growing projects across our local
area.
Working predominately with unemployed, ex offenders and vulnerable adults i.e
learning and physical disabilities and mental health issues we have to date created 5
new edible spots in the community where residents can access free fruit and vegetables
and three community spaces – The Secret Garden (fruit and veg growing, clay oven),
The Shed (woodwork, arts and crafts space, office) and Enchanted Garden (green
space, raised stage and fire-pit).
We aim to strengthen the community by:
• providing skill-based training and work experience opportunities for the most socially isolated in
the community through empowering and upskilling our volunteers by offering a pathway
to accredited training and development of key employability and life skills.
• offering volunteering opportunities to decrease participants' social isolation, improve their health
and well-being and utilise our existing partnerships to provide effective signposting and
support.
• engaging and educating residents and local community by bringing them together for workshops
and events about healthy eating and urban food growing
