At Thundersley, we’ve developed a vibrant therapeutic garden that is home to a bee colony, wildlife ponds, raised vegetable beds and so much more. Growing Together Thundersley was developed in partnership with agencies from the South East Essex Sustainability Group and with funding from the National Lottery Heritage Fund.
Members’ Day at Thundersley is on Fridays from 9am to 4pm. We now have a potting shed, a produce shop, a log cabin, and our gardens are fully accessible. Through our Growing Together garden at Thundersley, we’re proud to provide social inclusion, mental health support, and employment opportunities to people in Castle Point and Canvey Island.
Growing Together Thundersley is also the home of the Community Shed, a workshop and peer support group primarily for men that runs on Mondays and Wednesdays, 8.30am to 3.30pm.
One of four therapeutic community gardens in South East Essex and a community orchard. You can find information about all our gardens on our website: https://www.trustlinks.org/growing-together/
