We are a secondary school in a very deprived area with over 40% of students on free school meals. We wanted to give the students a chance to work out side helping produce food that can be used in the school kitchens or sold at fares. During our school build we lost large areas so rented a field for students to continue with their C&G. we also decided that we wanted to raise pigs to supply the school with free range pork.
