This year, we have the opportunity to acquire or lease the old Strachan Primary School garden (the school is now permanently closed) which we have plans to turn into a community garden. The community have been consulted and they would like to use the good existing specimen trees as a wild garden, plant more fruit trees as an orchard and grow vegetables in and out of doors. A Steering Committee is in the process of being set up which will draw up plans for the development of the land.
