South Cliff Gardens in Scarborough are a Victorian heritage site currently being renovated with grant of from the National Lottery Heritage Fund and Community Fund. We aim to encourage local people and visitors to connect with the gardens through a variety of free drop in sessions, many of which focus on nature such as our popular Go Wild in South Cliff Gardens events which take place every Tuesday in holidays all year round. We are currently having an operational hub built in the gardens and once this is ready we will be able to offer more workshops to groups and schools with a strong focus on the environment and natural surroundings. We hope to be able to offer practical workshops such as making bat and bird boxes, feeding stations, bug hotels and run wildlife monitoring sessions to help us get a better understanding of the nature present on our site.
