We hold weekly sessions for refugees and asylum seekers on an allotment space at Scotchman Road Allotments in Manningham, Bradford. We provide the opportunity to meet new people and socialise whilst growing organic food together and take fresh, organic fruit and vegetables home to eat.
The Refugee Allotment Group was set up in 2010 and initially supported by Bradford Community Environment Project and Refugee Action. Funding cuts meant that from 2017 the group has been entirely run by refugees, asylum seekers and volunteers.
