Black Butterfly is a cultural heritage and wellbeing social enterprise supporting racialised and underserved communities. Our community garden / urban agriculture initiative, Joyful Roots, repurposes long-term empty town centre buildings and land into accessible, inclusive community food growing, training and enterprise spaces.

Hattons Yard Community Hub and Gardens was our first community garden space which includes a wood store, organic fruit/veg plant and compost sales, pop-up cafe, training events and a rentable cultural space. It is open on Tues, Thurs and Sat from 10.30 -2pm.

We are also setting up a community-led sky farm on a disused rooftop car park.
Facilities: Cafe, Volunteering, Community space for hire, Community recycling/composting
