The Walled Garden Whitby: volunteers and service users have been working since May 2022 to begin to renovate and restore this beautiful neglected walled garden on the outskirts of Whitby. This long term well-being project hopes to help people become involved in nature and promote emotional, physical and social well-being.
The produce garden is being developed to grow and harvest fruit, vegetables, cut flower beds and help to encourage a rich habitat for pollinators. The heritage orchard is a haven for wildlife and is being managed to encourage a rich environment for all sorts of flora and fauna.
The Trust runs twice weekly volunteer sessions, event days and works in partnership with local groups.
