There are three areas that are currently under development:
1. Mobile outreach program: We are able to transport a pair of sheep to individuals' homes or to charities/businesses.
2. Wellbeing/mental health support at the farm: We offer "wellbeing sessions" which can be self-led in our cuddle field or facilitated by our staff in a safe environment. We also have a sheep walk option. This can be done with small groups at our farm or a larger group from Nuneham estate.
3. Therapeutic care farm: We are in the early stages of developing a therapeutic care farm where we will offer work placements, work experiences, and support for those in recovery from addiction.
Currently, the first two options are available. We are also looking to tender for approved alternative provision to support SEND children during transitional periods of school life. Additionally, we focus on supporting the social and emotional wellbeing of young people as a preventive measure. We have registered with 'SEND UNLOCKED', and schools can use our services even without 'approved status'. We offer team building activities for corporates who aim to support staff wellbeing and promote neurodiversity inclusion in the workplace. Furthermore, we are conducting case studies for 'social prescribing' and have had fantastic results with Oxford Hub. We are conducting thorough research on the support needs in Oxfordshire, successfully identifying those who would benefit from our services. The list of beneficiaries is extensive.
The uniqueness of EWE Talk sets us apart from existing platforms. We focus on supporting individuals in our communities who are often overlooked. By providing a safe and welcoming space that embraces humanity and equality, we have achieved fantastic results.
