Growing In Harmony is a community garden currently hosting a variety of volunteer groups from Redcar and Cleveland on one acre of land in Kirkleatham. We are aiming to offer a "fork to fork" experience by introducing horticultural and culinary courses in the coming year. We're also looking into the possibility of creating an urban farm on the land. The project's remit is to create a learning experience which teaches local people to reduce food waste and food miles by growing, cooking and preserving their own food. The garden is currently using organic type techniques.
