The UCY Garden project will establish a community garden where children and young people can learn about sustainable food production, develop gardening skills, and gain a deeper understanding of where their food comes from. The project will provide opportunities for children to plant, cultivate, and harvest fruits and vegetables, fostering a sense of ownership and connection to the environment.
The project will directly benefit children and young people in our community by providing them with practical skills, promoting healthy lifestyles, and instilling values of environmental stewardship. By engaging children in gardening activities, we aim to enhance their confidence, resilience, and sense of responsibility, while also promoting social cohesion and community engagement.
