We are a warm and friendly group of people who love to tend the Garden. We grow flowers, fruit and vegetables; learning from and sharing skills with one another. In the garden, we relax, have fun and socialise, enjoy the surroundings … and share in the fruits of our labours.
The Garden and orchard were started in 2013 for the benefit of the local community. Most of us are from Petersfield and the surrounding villages and we all have a say in how the garden is developed. We run garden events throughout the year, such as wassailing the orchard, picnics and bonfires, and open days.
Petersfield Tree Squad is a local project under the umbrella of Petersfield Community Garden, which has a focus on tree planting and tree care in and around the Petersfield Area. The project involves mobilising local volunteers to increase canopy cover locally through the planting and maintenance of trees, hedgerow and community orchards.
