The Prospects Foundation is a community owned environmental charity in Hyndburn, empowering locals to make grassroots change. We have 6 core themes which we work around: improving biodiversity, energy conservation, local food, raising environmental awareness, sustainable transport, and waste and recycling. We support practical conservation, food growing, nature connectedness and eco-activities in communities within Hyndburn Borough, Lancashire.

What events and activities do you have planned for the day?:

We have stalls from all environmental areas and activities, including links to local food growing projects and climate-friendly gardening. There will also be live music and performers, food and activities at the stalls.

Will you be open on the day?:

we are running a community-scale EcoFest in Accrington town-centre event to show off what we do and encourage the community to be more climate friendly and sustainable, including food growing. The event will run from 10am till 3pm and is free o charge, with lots of activities to get involved in. Come and find out about our community allotments and gardening projects around the borough that you can get involved in.

Directions:

The event is a 5 minute walk from Accrington Train Station and a 2 minute walk from Accrington Bus station. There are areas for bike parking on site. If coming by car, the best place to park is Eastgate car park in Accrington (what 3 words: mercy/they/pure) which is free and only a 3 minute walk away.

There'll be a stage and plenty of stalls so we'll be hard to miss!
