We’re hosting a Have a Grow Day
BRACE Llanfyllin Community Garden
BRACE Llanfyllin community garden is focused on teaching volunteers and the wider community skills in growing organic food in line with permaculture principles, as well as building community out in the open air with our hands in the soil. The main community garden is situated behind the Public Institute on Llanfyllin High Street, with satellite sites at Y Dolydd and in Brook Street. The garden also has involvement with Cae Bodfach community heritage orchard.
BRACE community garden will be hosting an open day and seedling/plant swap on Saturday 8th June, 1–4pm. This offers a great opportunity for anyone in the community to come together and share seeds, cuttings, and transplants from their own gardens to swap with others.
Community garden volunteers will be on hand to answer questions about the garden and the vegetable growing that is happening there. A repair café will be taking place in the Institute so there'll be refreshments and cake too!
The garden will be open from 1-4pm on Saturday 8th June with visitors able to attend a plant swap or spend time in the garden.
