The Patch is an acre of land on farm land in Buckinghamshire. We have a yurt, campfire circle, allotment, nature pond, willow tunnel and domes and apple, plum, cherry and figs trees. We run sessions all year round for children, young people and their families to come and help plant, grow and care for the site, we teach traditional skills such as campfire cooking, wood splitting and fire lighting, as well as encouraging people to help with the allotment and polytunnel where we grow vegetables, fruits and herbs. The underlying ethos of The Patch is to get people outside, working with their hands and caring for themselves and others through therapeutic, wholesome and person-centred experiences encouraging connection, collaboration and community.
